The Mets are in the thick of the hunt.

The Mets trade deadline was well done, but not all the pieces have worked out as well as one would've hoped. But they've also relied on some of their prospects to help them as they march towards a hopeful playoff run.

Next, Grace discusses the state of the rest of the league. It feels a little more even this year, with more teams in the hunt and less dominant teams. There's also some interesting decisions for voters in the American League MVP race and the National League Cy Young race.
